My first BLOG – Introduction

Gepubliceerd op 7 augustus 2024 om 14:00

Hi there, my name is Nikita and I decided to start writing blogs about nutrition, training, becoming a mother, travel, etc. As you can see on my website I work as a nutritionist and personal trainer, but I want to share more than just that.

At this point writing this first blog, I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and almost a mommy for the first time. So, a whole new world will be up for me becoming a mommy very soon. New things about babies, pregnancy, nutrition, getting back in shape, how to handle everything etc. In this blog I will write about my personal experiences, opinions & tips.

Here we go. I’m almost due to my first-born baby girl. The most popular question I get is how you feel, well let me tell you I feel very round, bloated and not really myself because of it. Yes, I know it is totally normal and of course a 100% worth it – but still it can feel annoying – and that is the honest truth. For the rest I really have nothing to complain about because I have no back pain, instable pelvis or any other symptom that can be very common, so yes with that I really feel blessed.

I’ve been training & stretching during my whole pregnancy, slowly lowering my weight and just did what made me feel better. The stretching is/was really helpful to keep my back & pelvis flexible. From 33 weeks I start to train les and now I don’t train at all, just some walking and resting a lot, because even with walking my feet, ankles, calves, even my fingers are swelling up. So, I take a lot of rest.

At first, I felt the pressure to keep training because it is my profession, and I should set an example. But when I started to feel more stiffness in my back, more cramps in my legs, more swelling in my feet and legs, I knew I had reached a point where the workouts just didn’t benefit me any more like before. So, I stopped training. I did keep on going with the stretching what really helped me. Stretching isn’t only good for you but also for your baby. It really helps to keep your pelvic flexible and more open and that give more space for your baby as well. If you find it hard to find a stretching routine or don’t know what to do, try to find a pregnancy yoga class instead. (on my Instagram – NIKITARAMONA - you can see some videos of my stretching routine).

Well that is it for now, very exciting, busy times that are coming. I can’t wait to meet my baby girl and start sharing my experiences with you all. If you have any questions or even tips for me as e new mom, please leave a comment below. I would love to have some interaction with you.

See you soon on my next blog,

Ciao, >_<

Nikita Ramona
